Nato a Toledo, Iowa, Michael si fŕ
conoscere ed apprezzare per le sue doti recitative, soprattutto in
ambito teatrale. Dopo essersi laureato nel 1976 alla Drake University ed
aver studiato Arte e Recitazione, si sposta a New York, ma non riesce a
trovare lavoro come attore. Cosě, con la prima moglie, si trasferisce in
Florida nel 1986, e appare in alcune produzioni locali. Lavora anche
come direttore ed come insegnante. Ha recitato anche in film
horror/thriller (ad esempio 'L'enigmista') ed č apparso in molti
telefilm, come 'X Files' e 'Law and Order'. Vince un Emmy per
l'interpretazione del serial killer 'William Hinks' nella serie
televisiva 'The Practice' . E' sposato con l'attrice Carrie Preston, che
in Lost appare nell'episodio "L'uomo dietro le quinte" , nel ruolo della
madre di Ben. |
